Laundry Service - Part 2 - My First Pickup
In an effort to give customers a complete guide to how our residential laundry service works, we wanted to write up a series of blogs explaining the different steps from signing up to the packaging of your clothes and finally the delivery. So now that you’ve got your account all setup, what happens next? The next step is for you to put your laundry out by 7 AM the day of your scheduled pickup. For the first pickup, place your items in plastic bags or a nylon bag if you have one. Please attach a note that says “Simply Clean Laundry” so the driver knows those bags are meant for us. When we return your clothes for the first time, we will put them in our large blue nylon bags so you can reuse those for the next pickup. We do ask that you not put out hampers or baskets. We prefer plastic or nylon bags for that first pickup.
People ask us if they need to be home for the first pickup and the answer is… No, you do not need to be present for the pickup. When you sign up, you will give us any special location or instructions that we need for the pickup, so just set your laundry out and we will be by between 7 am – 2 pm to pick it up depending where your stop falls on the route. Once we pick up your laundry, it’s tagged with your name and washing preferences and put in our van and taken back to our secure facility.
